Andrey and Lauren were forced to cancel their original wedding plans due to covid and instead put together a gorgeous backyard wedding in just five weeks. Lauren and her siblings grew up in this beautiful french-chateau inspired home on Toronto’s renown Bridle Path, which served as the inspiration behind many of their creative decisions and decor on the day of the wedding. The French country style was celebrated from the tower macarons wedding cake, to the colour palettes in the flowers, and table settings. French style plates were purchased at various antique stores, and a variety of wine, bread and cheeses were also served. Even the hand sanitizer, provided at each table, had french lavender smell!

Lauren and Andrey had to get creative with the many covid curve balls thrown their way, such as implementing social distancing in the placement of the tables around the pool. At the time of planning, food catering was also not an option, so Lauren and Andrey assembled baskets with food that were served to each guest as their main meals. The idea was that the guest would feel ‘ like they were having a picnic’ in the countryside of France.
