Joju and Ben wanted engagement photos that felt like the Pacific Northwest and I knew just the perfect place. We woke up at sunrise in Algonquin Park to a foggy morning to shoot at the Spruce Bog Boardwalk Trail. It was still dark when we started, and we watched the sky get lighter and the fog roll in among the trees in awe.

Algonquin Park is a magical place. Just a short walk off the main highway and you feel like you’re deep in the wilderness with not another human in sight. While the Spruce Boardwalk trail is an easy 1.5 km loop, it has no shortage of incredible views and backdrops. We ran up and down the boardwalk, admired the tall pines and how other-worldy the scene felt.

We ended the shoot at the Pog Lake Campground where Joju and Ben stayed. If you’re car camping in Algonquin, this is the best campground hands down! The sites are amazing and there is a beautiful sandy beach which you can see in the photos. There was an incredible blanket of fog covering the lake that morning, and it made for some very unique engagement photos.

Thank you so much to the staff at Algonquin Park, for keeping this magnificent park healthy, clean and a place to appreciate the wonders of nature.
