Framed within the sculptural architecture of the Art Gallery of Ontario, this wedding embraced a refined minimalism that felt both contemporary and timeless. The couple’s vision centered around subtle luxury: soft yellow florals layered against the warm wood and glass structure of Frank Gehry’s iconic design. Every detail felt intentional yet effortless: transparent chairs echoing the gallery’s play of light, florals shaped as modern installations rather than arrangements, and a ceremony space that seemed to hover somewhere between art and architecture.

The reception mirrored the same quiet sophistication. Long tables were styled with golden glassware, fine linens, and soft butter-hued blooms that felt sunlit even under candlelight. The bridesmaids’ dresses, each in a different tone of pale yellow, complemented the gallery’s neutral palette while adding a painterly dimension to the aesthetic. It was an ode to modern romance. A gallery transformed into a living artwork, where every frame, every moment, felt curated with intention.

Every time I walk past the AGO, I can’t help but stop and look up. The glass and timber façade by Frank Gehry feels like it’s breathing. It’s one of those buildings that reminds you architecture can be emotional too

DUE TO THE COUPLE'S LOVE FOR ANALOG FILM, THIS WEDDING WAS
SHOT ON A MIX OF DIGITAL, 35MM AND MEDIUM FORMAT FILM.
